Two local artists, Carol Snyder and Kellie McDermott, approach the tenants of landscape in different mediums. Snyder often contemplates landscape when creating her porcelain sculptures, incorporating horizons and other natural elements in her sharp, contemporary pieces.

McDermott takes a more traditional approach by painting urban landscapes, only with an innovative and striking approach.

McDermott utilizes a dramatic light source to create urgency, and highlights the architectural elements with bold, layered canvases. Both are meant to demonstrate the structure and chaos present.
