Art preview: "Graphic Details: Confessional Comics by Jewish Women"

Staff Writer
Columbus Alive

Art and literature have been dominated by the male perspective for centuries, to the point where people were incredulous when Sarah Lightman insisted there was a rich, vibrant history of confessional comics by Jewish women. So Lightman set about casting a light on the work of those silenced and unheard voices, and thus, a book and traveling exhibition was born, the latter of which comes to the Billy Ireland Sunday. Lightman will also speak and lead a Q&A with other Jewish women comics creators.
