Ballet preview: Say goodbye to longtime BalletMet dancers during "American Masters"
As the final performances from longtime BalletMet dancers Jimmy Orrante (pictured) and Carrie West — who’ll both retire after “American Masters” — this is a must-see.
If that wasn’t enough the production contains three world premieres from renowned choreographers: the National Ballet of Canada’s James Kudelka, David Nixon from the Northern Ballet (and a former BalletMet artistic director), and BalletMet’s current artistic director Edwaard Liang.
Iconic choreographer Jerome Robbins’ classic ballet “Fancy Free” completes the evening.
