For his first solo exhibit, recent Ohio State graduate Zach Van Horn examines the process of painting and the notion of personal identity in our expanding digital society.
By merging digital images with painted elements, Van Horn is looking to communicate with the viewer about individuality and the process of painting— and how that’s changed by technology.
The figures in Van Horn’s pieces are fascinating in their obfuscation, and present a wildly original approach to portraiture.
