ProMusica Chamber Orchestra's first program in a new series takes a look inside orchestral music's richest masterworks.
Guest musicologist Paul Rissmann will help the orchestra reveal the musical foundation of Beethoven's "Pastoral Symphony," one of the great composer's most-loved works, through interviews, performed excerpts and background on the history, composer and more. The concert's second half, under the direction of Music Director David Danzmayr, will consist of a full performance of the symphony.
