Arts preview: 'Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor'

Jim Fischer

New York-based artist Roxy Paine will install five large-scale dioramas in the Beeler Gallery at CCAD. His characterless settings, including a security checkpoint and a fast food restaurant, serve as points of inquisition about the human condition.

"[Paine] never stops working," CCAD Interim Director of Exhibitions Ian Ruffino said of the scope of this exhibition. "He works every day, making these things, carving things by hand, welding, casting, painting, gluing."

Paine will speak at CCAD on Thursday, Oct. 13. The exhibition will remain on display through Dec. 20.
