Theater preview: 'Marisol'

Jim Fischer
Columbus Alive

The Ohio State University Department of Theatre's production of Jose Rivera's 1993 Obie Award-winning urban fantasy closes following these weekend shows. Set in a future New York City destroyed by a war between supernatural forces, Marisol finds herself among the city's marginalized and displaced, who ultimately join in the conflict for the future of humanity. The tale is told with compassion, a sense of humor and poetic insight.
