Staff Pick: Isa Chandra Moskowitz book signing at Seventh Son

Before I went vegan almost eight years ago, I couldn’t pronounce quinoa, let alone make it. Now, rarely a week goes by that my wife and I don’t make something from one of Isa Chandra Moskowitz’s best-selling cookbooks.

I owe this culinary competence to Moskowitz, whose cookbooks are more educational than Home Ec. ever was.

Of course, none of that would matter if her recipes weren’t also unpretentiously healthy and delicious, easy to make and appealingly accessible for someone whose favorite childhood meal was Beef Stroganoff.

See for yourself why Moskowitz is my favorite vegan “celebrity” on Monday when she comes to Seventh Son for a book signing.

Olde Towne East’s The Angry Baker will provide free (!) desserts and appetizers based on Moskowitz’s recipes, and a cash bar will be provided by Seventh Son.
