Food News: Cravings picks new downtown digs

The owners of CravingsCafé announced the restaurant will reopen in the former Saigon Palace location at 114 N. Front St. downtown. The cafe was forced to leave its location in Italian Village last month when the landlord refused to renew the lease.

Highline Coffee Co. opened at 691 High St. in Worthington, serving brewed coffee and espresso drinks.

The Indian concept Horn OK Please is doing a few more pop-ups at Ace of Cups, including one this Saturday, Oct. 31. The pop-up serves kebabs and Indian-themed sides; the owners plan to transition to a food truck soon.

Bubbles Tea & Juice opened a new location at Polaris Fashion Place.

The new Mikey's Late Night Slice at 268 S. Fourth St. is aiming to open early next week.

Bibibop Asian Grill opens its newest location at 6490 Sawmill Rd. in Dublin on Tuesday, Nov. 3. This is the seventh Columbus location for the restaurant, and a shop near Cincinnati opened earlier this month.

Austin-based Chuy's Tex-Mex opened at 4154 Seward St. in the Easton Gateway.

Pints of Jeni's Ice Cream began arriving in scoop shops and on grocery store shelves. So far, seven of their signature flavors have been released, with more on the way. Online pint sales resume Monday, Nov. 2.

The new Sbarro location in Clintonville at 3645 N. High St. is scheduled to open Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Double Comfort hosts its second annual HELLoween on Friday, Oct 30. The contest features dishes that become progressively hotter with peppers like ghost chilies, 7 Pots and Carolina Reepers. Contestants who finish three small plates crafted with the chilies earn themselves a commemorative T-shirt.

Four String Brewing celebrates its four-year anniversary Saturday, Oct. 31. The party features the Ajumama food truck and the release of a bottled imperial stout aged in OYO bourbon barrels.
