Food News: Kindred Artisan Ales opens this week; new Bonchon location in Clintonville is open

Bonchon Clintonville opened this week at 2973 N. High St., next to Lineage Brewing. This is the second central Ohio location for the South Korea-based fried chicken chain.

Kindred Artisan Alesis holding its grand opening on Friday, April 8, from 4 p.m. to midnight. The taproom is located at 505 Morrison Rd. in Gahanna; the event will feature the first Kindred beers on tap, Challah food truck and more.

Grow Restaurants, the group behind Harvest Pizzeria, The Sycamore and Salt & Pine, announced anew Mexican concept opening at 995 N. Fourth St. in Italian Village later this year.

Dine Originals Week runs April 11-17. More than 30 member restaurants of Dine Originals will run special prix fixe menus during the week.

Cafe Phenixwill open this month at 39 E. Gay St. The spot is the former Downtown home of 39 Below FroYo, which moved to Olde Towne East. Phenix will feature coffee, tea, smoothies, milkshakes and more.

The owners ofThe Walrus, The Olde Towne Tavern and Corner Stone carryout announced a barbecue spot coming soon to 113 E. Main St. Downtown.

A newFresh Thymemarket opened in Westerville at 849 Polaris Pkwy. on Wednesday, April 6.
