Food News: Big Mamma's coming to Grandview; Jack's Diner re-opening downtown

Big Mamma's Burritosannounced a new location opening soon at 1359 Grandview Ave. (the zpizza that occupied the spot closed recently). The Athens-based company also recently shared it'll run the kitchen for the new Daily Growler shop opening later this year at 702 S. High St.

Chris Kowalski, the owner ofJack's Diner Downtown, announced he plans to reopen the diner by the end of the month. The diner has been closed for nearly a year following the death of his wife in early 2015. Kowalski said he will be releasing a new menu and making some equipment upgrades.

The Butcher & Grocer, a shop slated to open in Grandview this summer, announced a partnership withHungarian Butcher, a new charcuterie business owned by Chef Dan Varga (most recently of Double Comfort) and James Anderson, owner of Ray Ray's Hog Pit and Anderson Farms.

Columbus Food Adventuresannounced the addition of anOld Worthington walking tourstarting May 14. The tour will run Saturdays from May through October.

The California-based fast casual pizza chainPizzaRev celebrates the grand opening of its first central Ohio location on Thursday, April 14 at 1607 N. High St. in the Gateway University District.

Sandman Gourmetannounced a fourth location at 111 W. Nationwide Blvd., former site of the Sonoma Grille.
