Food News: Japanese Steakhouse and Nazareth Deli closing; Donato's Black Brick Bar opens

TheJapanese Steakhouse at 479 N. High St., across from the Convention Center, announced it will be closing after Saturday, June 25.

Donatos' new conceptBlack Brick Bar opened last week next to its recently renovated pizza shop in the Short North. The concept features a full bar with a rotating draft beer selection and live music from local performers.

The owner ofNazareth Deli in Gahanna announced that the restaurant has closed.

As of last weekend,Bluescreek Farm Meats has left North Market after 23 years and relocated to a new full-service butcher shop and market in Plain City.

Pocket Produce opens Friday, June 3 at 3496 N. High St. in Clintonville.

The food truck atThe Bottle Shop in Victorian Village (simply known as "The Truck") is now open, serving sandwiches, rice bowls and snacks.

Last week the Ohio Senate passedOhio House Bill 351, which allows distilleries to increase levels of production from 10,000 gallons to 200,000 gallons. It also allows distillers to apply for an A-1-A permit, which would let businesses create bars on-site that can serve spirits, cocktails and food directly to customers, putting distilleries on equal footing with breweries and wineries.

Taco Bell announced it will open one of its fast-casual Cantina concepts in at North High Street and Ninth Avenue in the Gateway University District.
