Food News: Bonifacio opens first Filipino restaurant; Bottoms Up Coffee Co-op joins Franklinton

Bonifacio, the city's first full-service Filipino restaurant, opens Saturday, July 30. The restaurant, created by the owners of the Red Velvet Cafe Downtown, is located at 1577 King Ave. in Grandview.

Bottoms Up Coffee Co-op opened last week at 1069 W. Broad St. in Franklinton. The coffee shop and co-working space uses its proceeds to support non-profits working to reduce infant mortality in Columbus.

After nearly 50 years in business,Paul's Fifth Avenue announced its last business day would be Friday, July 29.

Gallo's Tap Roomrecently opened in Powell at 240 N. Liberty St. This is the second location of the Tap Room. The original Gallo's Tap Room is on Bethel Road; the company also owns Gallo's Kitchen in Upper Arlington.
