Food News: Steam headed to North Market; Haiku closes Saturday

Chef Marcus Meacham'sSteamis headed to the North Market in January. The concept, which has operated out of the Little Rock Bar since earlier this year, centers on Chinese steamed buns.

After 18 years in the Short North,Haiku's last day in business is this Saturday, Dec. 10.

Land-Grant Brewing's taproom in Concourse B at John Glenn International Airport opened this week. In addition to featuring Land-Grant brews, the taproom will serve sandwiches, flatbreads and salads.

Sushi Timeopened at 2653 N. High St. in the former Old North home of Angry Bear Kitchen.

In Hilliard,Dickey's Barbecue Pit opened at 3915 Britton Pkwy., while Habaneros Fresh Mexican Grillhas opened at 3650 Main St.

Crazy Burritohas finally opened at 4081 Trueman Blvd. near Polaris.

The gang behindMikey's Late Night Slice has purchased the pizza and beer jointBrewZaa at 6477 Pullman Dr. in Lewis Center. The restaurant and menu will be revamped, although the location will not become a Late Night Slice.

Plank's Bier Gartenin German Village is closed after a fire broke out Wednesday, Dec. 7. There's no word on when the restaurant will reopen.
