The Fourth of July offers an easy color scheme for restaurants, bakeries and bars to whip up holiday specials. We rounded up a few red, white and blue offerings available this coming week, from cocktails and pies to pastries and salads.

Newfangled Kitchen

2285 E. Main St., Bexley

This meatloaf-slinging cafe in Bexley is featuring a special salad called Red, Nut and Bleu. The dish includes a spring mix, kale, dried cranberries, candied pecans, strawberries and blue cheese, all topped with a balsamic vinaigrette.

Happy Little Treats

1962 N. Mallway Dr., Upper Arlington

Happy Little Treats in Upper Arlington, formerly part of The Angry Baker collection, is offering pastry bites in blueberry, cherry and apple. You can pre-order them in 20, 40 or 60 count trays.

VASO Dublin

6450 Riverside Dr., Dublin

VASO’s rooftop digs allow ideal viewing for Dublin’s Fourth of July fireworks. That evening, the restaurant and bar is featuring ticketed festivities, where guests can reserve indoor tables or outdoor seating with food and drink specials, plus a lofted view of the fireworks.

Watershed Kitchen & Bar

Watershed’s current cocktail list, dubbed Yard Sale, features three cocktails that line up perfectly in red, white and blue. The red Six Hour Difference is crafted with Creole bitters from Kentucky, Watershed’s Nocino walnut liqueur and rye whiskey. The pale white Kiss the Cook blends unaged Ohio whiskey, sotol, dry vermouth, salted butter syrup and black pepper. The electric blue D2: Mai Tai Ducks mixes rum, Palo Cortado sherry, orgeat, citrus and Blue Drank.

Fox in the Snow Cafe

Italian Village, German Village, New Albany

For the Fourth of July, Fox in the Snow is whipping up its version of a classic American delicacy: cherry pie. The flaky, lattice-topped treat is filled with tart cherries, and offered just around the holiday. The pie is only available through pre-orders, which must be placed by this Sunday, June 30, at 5 p.m. Pies can then be picked up on July 4.
