The Cincinnati-based creative group Gorilla Cinema is bringing a Pan Am-themed cocktail pop up to Franklinton in celebration of the golden era of aviation. (For you youngsters, Pan American World Airways was founded in 1927 and became the largest international carrier in the United States, reaching its peak in the ’60s and ’70s; the airline folded in 1991.) The experience will take place Dec. 12-23 at 401 W. Rich St. Guests will be invited to purchase a ticket to a “flight” on one of the airline’s Pan Am Clippers with service to Havana, London, Hawaii, the Moon or the North Pole. Tickets ($65) include a seat in the ’60s-inspired Layover Lounge, two destination-themed cocktails and a small gift. First class upgrades are available. Gorilla Cinema hosted a similar pop up in October at Cincinnati’s Tokyo Kitty karaoke bar. Make your reservation for the December event here.

Last Call State Liquor Agency, located at 777 Neil Ave. in the former Giant Eagle, is set to close, according to an employee at the agency. A last day of operation was not immediately available.

Watershed Distillery’s family-friendly Nocino Fest will take place from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, in celebration of the distillery’s barrel-finished nocino. Attendees will get the chance to tour the distillery (1145 Chesapeake Ave.) and learn about the nocino production process. Watershed Kitchen & Bar will be serving small bites and nocino-infused treats and cocktails will be available for purchase. Learn more about the event here.
