Food News: Bistrolino opens in German Village; Smoked on High adds two Kroger locations

Bistrolino, a new café serving a mix of Italian and Lebanese cuisine, opened this weekend at 495 S. Fourth St. in German Village. The restaurant replaces the original Harvest Pizzeria, which closed in April. The menu includes include a variety of Lebanese and Italian flatbreads, fattoush salad, braciola, lamb chops, lasagna and more. Read more about Bistrolino’s owners here.

Max McGarity’s barbecue business, Smoked on High (755 S. High St.), is expanding through a new partnership with Kroger. Last month, McGarity added a location inside the Pickerington Kroger at 1045 Hill Rd. N. He added a third location last week inside the Kroger at 1745 Morse Rd.

The owners of Olde Towne Tavern, Pecan Penny’s and The Walrus are holding a preview party today for their new restaurant, The Woodbury, located at 215 E. Town St. The Downtown diner, serving cocktails and all-day breakfast, is part of a new 223 E. Town apartment building.

C.Krueger’s Finest Baked Goods has officially relocated from Brickel Street to a more prominent Short North address at 749 N. High St., formerly Cub Shrub. The bakery, milk bar and gift shop is owned by Cheryl Krueger, the former owner and founder of Westerville-based Cheryl’s Cookies.
