Openings & Announcements

James Anderson, the owner of Ray Ray’s Hog Pit and a James Beard nominee, is ready to unveil his first sit-down restaurant, Ray Ray’s Meat + Three. The new Granville spot will open to the public on Wednesday, April 7, at 1256 Columbus Road, formerly Creno’s Pizza. Anderson has long wanted to open a meat-and-three, a Southern restaurant that serves a protein such as brisket or chicken accompanied by three sides. Key to executing the new menu is chef Bill Glover, who joined Ray Ray’s as CEO last fall after leaving his post at Hilton Columbus Downtown. Anderson and Glover were separately named Columbus Monthly Tastemakers in 2016, long before they decided to collaborate on the meat-and-three. The new restaurant joins four Ray Ray’s Hog Pit locations: Clintonville at Ace of Cups, Westerville at 5755 Maxtown Road, Land Grant Brewing Co. in Franklinton and Nocterra Brewing Co. in Powell.

Over the weekend, MNCHS Kitchen opened a permanent location at DankHouse Brewery, 161 Forry St. in Newark. Serving birria tacos, burgers and quesadillas, MNCHS operates out of a shipping container on the DankHouse patio Wednesday through Sunday.

Easton will soon add another food option: Cleveland’s Black Box Fix. The Black-owned business is set to open April 26 at 4037 Fenlon St., featuring a menu of massive sandwiches, burgers, seafood-topped fries and more.

A food hall is coming soon to New Albany. Bubbly Hall, which aims to feature local food, beverage and retail vendors, will include a 15,000-square-foot building plus 11,000 square feet of patio and green space at 6031 Central College Road. Bubbly Hall’s first batch of vendors are expected to be announced in April.

The hot dog spot Links-N-Lemonade appears to have closed at 128 Graceland Blvd. The business is listed as permanently closed on Yelp and the phone number has been disconnected.
