The Columbus Dispatch reports that Louisville-based Goodwood Brewing & Spirits will soon fill the former Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant space, located at 401 N. Front St. in the Arena District. The restaurant space has been empty since Gordon Biersch closed the brewpub in March 2020. Goodwood, which also produces bourbon and rye, offers a food menu that ranges from wings and burgers to smoked brisket and tacos.

The holiday-themed pop-up bar Miracle returns to The Citizens Trust (11 W. Gay St.) on Friday, Nov. 26. Miracle will be open starting at 4 p.m. Wednesday-Sunday through Dec. 30. The bar will be open for walk-ins, and The Citizens Trust is also offering reservations for Miracle's indoor igloo experience, which seats up to eight guests. The mystery of what will fill the café space inside the Ohio Statehouse has been solved: It’s a taco shop. Zachary Martin's business, House Taco, will fill the space recently vacated by Milo’s Catering. The new spot will offer dine-in lunch on weekdays as well as curbside pick-up on Third Street from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. Breakfast and brunch plans are in the works.

The Sauce Boiling Seafood Express opened recently at 109 N. Hamilton Road in Gahanna. The Cleveland-based eatery, which now has four locations in Ohio, offers bags of boiled seafood, stuffed with crab legs, shrimp, mussels, crawfish, king crab and more. The Sauce also offers create-your-own bowls with a choice of protein, rice, corn on the cob, potatoes, sausage and sauce.

Note: Food News will be off Thursday, Nov. 25. Happy Thanksgiving!
