Two goalies enter. One goalie leaves.

Sergei Bobrovsky - undoubtedly the silver lining in a strike-shortened season that cost Columbus the NHL All-Star Game - is giving the Blue Jackets a shot at some bragging rights. He's in the final running for a fan vote to make the cover of EA Sports popular NHL video game series.

Bobrovsky's matchup in the finals is daunting: New Jersey Devils' netminder (and future Hall-of-Famer) Martin Brodeur. Nonetheless, Blue Jackets fans have proven a tenacious bunch of voters. Votes can be cast online at or tweeted with the hashtag #NHL14Bobrovsky. Voting ends Sunday, June 2. Hockey fan or not, it's a good chance to rep Columbus on a national scale. Bobrovsky would be the first Blue Jacket on an EA Sports cover, although former Jacket Rick Nash was the cover boy for NHL2K9.

In related news, the Jackets are still in talks to resign Bobrovsky for next season. Wouldn't that be just our luck?
