Summertime night bike rides are, for real, the bee’s knees. The temperature’s perfect; traffic’s slight; silence has, mostly, descended upon the city; and the breeze brushing your skin is heavenly. If you’re out for any decent amount of time, you’ll quickly and easily travel through multiple neighborhoods at a pace that lets you really absorb the attractions, from unique architecture to skylines, parks to city landmarks.

During the Mayor’s Twilight Ride, you get all this and more. Aside from all the freebies (entertainment, pizza, swag bag, use of the bike share bikes, parking, etc.), the 10- or 25-mile ride is simply fun. You’re surrounded by hundreds of other cyclists, so there’s safety in numbers and an energy that keeps you buzzing well into the night.

Ride starts at COSI

6:30 p.m. Friday, July 12
