Editor's picks: 16 things to do this weekend

Pride and soccer, that's my weekend in two words. Whatever your interests, there's a lot going on this weekend to whet your appetite for awesomeness. As always, here are my picks for what I'd do if I could be everywhere all the time.

Beck at the LC Pavilion

I can't think of a better summer concert for the LC's lawn seats than Beck and The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger (aka Sean Lennon). Grab a blanket, a beer and soak up these perfect summer nights.

The Blackout Diaries at Woodlands Tavern

"Funny Games" at Drexel Theatre

Andy Shaw Band with The Speedbumps at Brothers Drake Meadery & Bar

Silky Pride at Rehab Tavern

Cam'ron at Xclusive Elite Entertainment Center

Columbus Pride Parade in Downtown

This year's expected to be the biggest Pride yet, and while there are tons of awesome events surrounding this fabulous extravaganza, nothing beats the Pride parade.

Other Pride events

Ben Folds Orchestra Experience at Columbus Commons

Writers Block Hip-Hop Music & Art Event at The Summit

Zoofari 2014 at Columbus Zoo and Aquarium

Clintonville Arts Guild Show at Weiland's Market

U.S. vs. Portugal World Cup viewing party at Fado

Oh death, where is thy sting? This so-called "Group of Death" could turn out to be anything but for our beloved Yanks. Of course, a lot hinges on Sunday's game against Portugal, which easily makes this the biggest game of the tournament for the U.S. team (for now). Win or draw, and the U.S. likely moves on to the next round. Lose, and a result against the German juggernauts will likely be required. Whether you take in the game at Fado or not (I'll most likely be at Studio 35), you should plan on watching it in public, with as many people as possible, for maximum viewing pleasure.

"The Rover" at a movie theater

Worthington Art Festival at Worthington Village Green

Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival in Gahanna
