MINT Art Collective robbed over Thanksgiving Weekend

Just months after officially opening, a South Side art collective has temporarily shut its doors due to a recent robbery.

MINT, the burgeoning mixed-use space at 42. W. Jenkins Ave. was robbed over Thanksgiving weekend, according to a Tuesday post on its official Facebook page.

According to the post, equipment and "items used to facilitate the operation of MINT" were stolen, and all of MINT's scheduled events will be postponed through the remainder of the year. Though the art gallery was not affected by the robbery, artwork was moved to another location.

MINT opened in August of this year functioning as an event space, artist studios and gallery. In the post MINT representatives call for community support to reopen, and ask anyone with information to contact the Columbus Police Department at (614) 645-4545.
