Fashion: What are you wearing, Cecil Moore?

Once bartender and vocalist Cecil Moore became comfortable in his own skin, he decided to show as much of it as possible. The 32-year-old Memphis native has no qualms about his barely there shorts or his love of all things Beyonce, proving it isn’t what you wear; it’s how you wear it.

Hair: “The older I get the more hair I lose, so I keep it as close to my scalp as possible.”

Top: “I got this top thinking about what would go with these shorts! Denim tops are cute and in right now, and they are really comfortable.”

Necklace: Rag-O-Rama. “I got this from Rag-O-Rama 10 years ago. I lose everything all the time, but I keep finding this necklace in random places. I’ve always loved skeleton keys and I like the sound it makes when I walk away.”

Pins: Columbus Flea. “My friend got me this Beezus (Beyonce and Jesus) pin because I’m obsessed with Beyonce. I went back to the stand and saw they had one that said ‘You can’t sit with us,’ which is from my favorite movie ‘Mean Girls.’ It’s my favorite phrase ever so I had to have it. I’m representing my two favorite things.”

Shorts: Volunteers of America. “These are women’s shorts from the thrift store. You can’t find shorts this obnoxious in the men’s department. It took me a long time to be comfortable in my own skin, but once that happened I realized how great my legs were so I thought, ‘Why not show ’em off?’ As soon as the first warm day hits Columbus, no pair of pants is safe. I saw these in the thrift store, and I thought they’d be perfect booty shorts. I’ve never done floral before, but the older I get the more ballsy I get, which is funny to say wearing shorts like this.”

Shoes: Thrifted. “I like shoes that you can dress up or down. They’re actually really comfortable too.”

Sunglasses: Gifted. “These are Svedka Vodka sunglasses. I get all kinds of weird stuff being a bartender. I like that they are as obnoxious as everything else I do.”
