Things We Love: Picks from Nick Weckman

Nick Weckman is loving life. He shares that love by writing music and performing with various acts around the Columbus area. His latest project is Worms Rise Up!, a true tale of the future in which there are no humans... only worms. You can see them at 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 17, at Cafe Bourbon Street as they they travel through time (with puppets) and learn about humankind's ultimate destiny: failure.

Here are a few things Weckman loves.

Worms are great. What's not to love? They're cute, cuddly and they turn your leftovers/trash into food for other things... like vegetables, which you can then eat. What a deal! They also happen to be our future overlords, so it's probably a good idea to start appreciating their benevolence now. Their rich history has been well documented.

Babies are great. What's not to love? In fact, my wife and I had two of 'em... simultaneously! Well, to be honest, she had two and I watched... but nonetheless, we love 'em. So much, in fact, that I am now a devoted stay-at-home dad.
