Last Thursday, the Central Ohio Film Critics Association named Andrew Stanton's WALL-E as the best film of 2008. The Pixar film, already a favorite among critics groups nationwide, is the first animated feature to receive the award in COFCA's seven-year history.

Among the other winners: Mickey Rourke for Best Actor and Marisa Tomei for Best Supporting Actress for The Wrestler; Melissa Leo for Best Actress for Frozen River (she also took Best Breakthrough Artist); and Heath Ledger for Best Supporting Actor for Dark Knight.
