A lot of local filmmakers aren't shy about sharing their work on YouTube, but they're also benefiting lately from a small explosion of other opportunities to get short films in front of audiences in Columbus.

One consistent supporter of the scene is Studio 35, which continues its streak on Tuesday with a screening of local Ryan Moody's short "Bad Morning," in which a man wakes up and tries to figure out if he's responsible for the corpse lying next to him.

Meanwhile, 15 shorts by Central Ohio filmmakers including Peter John Ross, John Whitney and Sean McHenry are currently competing for votes and a $500 prize in the Local on Demand Film Festival. Time Warner Cable subscribers, you're invited to watch and vote for your favorites.
