Film: "Taco Odyssey"

Filmed in Columbus and featuring music by several local favorites, Steven Anderson's "Taco Odyssey" will premiere at The Summit this Saturday. The filmmaker was inspired by the true story of an escaped convict forced to visit the now-defunct Taco Ninja when he couldn't get anyone to deliver food to his seedy Columbus hotel. But "Odyssey" is a purely fictional account of said events featuring familiar locales, a colorful supporting cast and bizarre backdrops.

The movie makes great use of both local musicians and the music scene, with Donovan Roth starring as a passionate delivery guy and a soundtrack featuring Country Dog, ECC, Estee Louder, The Feelers, the Guinea Worms, Pocketful of Sunshine and Sick Thrills. "Taco Odyssey" screens at 9 p.m., 10:30 p.m. and midnight for $5. Search for the trailer on YouTube.
