Nonprofit organization Friends of the Drexel last week announced that it has purchased the struggling Drexel Theatre and enlisted the Columbus Association for the Performing Arts to manage Bexley's landmark three-screen movie house.

CAPA took over marketing, programming and other responsibilities on March 18. Jeff Frank, who helmed the theater for nearly 30 years, will continue serving as the theater's operations manager.
