Staff Pick: Revenge of the Electric Car

Heather Gross, Columbus Alive

"Revenge of the Electric Car," the follow-up to Chris Paine's 2006 documentary "Who Killed the Electric Car?," takes a look at four men in the auto industry who are striving to make the electric car a success. It's a story that appeals not only to car fans, but also to anyone with concerns about the environment.

When the film has its local premiere at the Drexel on Friday night, those with tickets will also get to check out real electric cars. At 6 p.m., there will be an "electric car showcase" featuring the newest vehicles on the market. Ohio State President E. Gordon Gee will make an appearance. And after the 7 p.m. screening, a panel of local experts on electric vehicles will discuss the future of electric cars in Ohio.

If you can't make it on Friday, don't fret. The film will have a one-week run at the theater.
