New in theaters

“The Divergent Series: Insurgent”

The second movie based on the young-adult series by Veronica Roth features the continuing dystopian adventures of our heroine Tris (Shailene Woodley). Think a second-tier “Hunger Games.”

“Wild Tales”

The Argentine nominee for the Best Foreign Language Film Oscar is a dark and comedic anthology of six stories revolving around rage. (Drexel Theater)

“Above and Beyond”

The Gateway Film Center is heavy on documentary offerings this week, including this one about the volunteer force of Americans who helped form the beginnings of the Israeli Air Force. (2 1/2 stars)

Essential 3D at the Wexner Center

This excellent series of 3D films comes to a glorious conclusion this week with my favorite 3D movie, Alfonso Cuaron’s “Gravity” (Thursday, March 19), Alfred Hitchcock’s “Dial M for Murder” (Saturday, March 21) and Jean-Luc Godard’s experimental “Goodbye to Language” (Wednesday, March 25).
