Dressed for success

With his weekly Outer Sounds series, James Allison has booked some cool local bands with reputable-but-not-that-exciting touring talent. But next Thursday's gig at Bernie's brings legitimately notable visitors to town: Denver indie-rockers Dressy Bessy. Singer Tammy Ealom is all sorts of flat on the band's peppy new Holler and Stomp, but the danceable, catchy tunes should translate well to an eye-level party at the basement bar, especially considering Ealom's fun '60s it-girl look. The show also affords a chance to catch Allison's talented young Blastronauts.
