Marquee: CD101 Day

Columbus Alive

Independent radio is dying out almost as fast as indie record stores (see above), but CD101 soldiers on. To celebrate, the station is throwing its annual CD101 Day concert.

Most alt-rock fans probably know The Cliks at this point, but if names like Audrye Sessions, The Parlor Mob and People in Planes have you wondering "Who?," simply tune in this week to get up to speed on what the station is loving these days.

Or just show up early to enjoy local breakout band Karate Coyote, who will be releasing a new EP, Little Victories, at the show. The title is cute, but the fact that this concert is happening at all - and that indie radio continues to thrive - is more of a big win for Columbus.
