Drake at BoMA

Commanding the entire music industry's attention is impressive; keeping a cork on your highly anticipated album is maybe even more remarkable - just ask Lil Wayne.

So far, Weezy's protege Drake has managed both feats in the interminable lead-up to his debut LP "Thank Me Later," due May 25 on Young Money.

The sing-songy Toronto rapper became hip-hop royalty thanks to superlative singles "Best I Ever Had" and "Successful" and the restless, inventive "So Far Gone" mixtape.

The internet is awash with fake versions of "Thank Me Later," but so far Drake has only revealed "Over," an intense, solipsistic victory lap over a "Jesus Walks"-meets-"My President" beat. His show Wednesday at BoMA is billed as an album release party, though, so perhaps we're in for a sneak peek.
