Carrie Underwood at the Schott

Carrie Underwood's two biggest hits show two sides of the "American Idol" winner who has transcended her reality TV roots better than any other former contestant. "Jesus, Take the Wheel" showed the down-home gal's sweet, reverent side, while "Before He Cheats" took automobile imagery in more wrathful direction. Hell hath no fury like a Southern woman scorned, Tony Romo. Her latest, "Play On," finds her continuing to position herself as country music's leading lady, making her show Tuesday at the Schott a must-see for fans of the genre or of ladies in general who like to belt out the occasional glory note.
