Mumford and Sons at the Wex
Staff Writer
Columbus Alive
The kids love Mumford and Sons, and it's easy to see why. Imagine the ragtag country ballads of the Avett Brothers, the woodsy pop sense of Fleet Foxes and the heart-on-sleeve emoting of Frightened Rabbit wrapped up in the gloss of big-budget indie breakouts like Death Cab and the Decemberists. It's almost too calculated in its appeal, but these four British youngsters seem to believe their own gospel. Australia's mild The Middle East opens.
