Staff Pick: Devo exhibit

Staff Writer
Columbus Alive

Named for Devo's groundbreaking 1978 album, this exhibit compiled by the Ohio Historical Society features everything cool about Akron's own new-wave sensation. That would include yellow jumpsuits, oddball helmets, concert tees and the anti-Darwinism pamphlets that gave birth to the band's name. This batch of memorabilia is the perfect way to get hyped for the band's show Aug. 4 at the Celeste Center. The exhibition is open to the public 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursdays and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Admission costs $8.
