Gogol Bordello at the LC
Nothing compares to seeing Gogol Bordello live. Eugene Hutz is a force of nature, spinning and stomping and fist-pumping his way through each gypsy-punk rave-up, his mustache flaring in the breeze kicked up by his fellow enthusiasts.
Eastern European music has always felt like a party, but Hutz and company elevate it to a new level of electricity. It's like "Fiddler on the Roof" if "Fiddler on the Roof" was awesome.
Gogol Bordello, touring behind the new "Trans-Continental Hustle," will be opening this shindig for Primus, the San Francisco weirdos responsible for the "South Park" theme song and lots of unfortunate bass wankery.
