Women at Skully's

If you like the aesthetics of "chillwave," "hypnagogic pop" or whatever you want to call the bleached-out underwater sonics that are de rigueur in indie rock, yet you wish those acts had some balls, allow me to introduce Women.

Their smeared and jagged sophomore effort "Public Strain" is full of synth blurps and eerie background sounds, but forceful enough to comfortably call it rock music.

Joining them Tuesday at Skully's will be electro-punk act DD/MM/YYYY, who sound like Pere Ubu one minute and Jane's Addiction the next and sometimes both at once.
