Staff Pick: Blues for a Cure concert

There's something about the historic Lincoln Theatre that makes it the perfect venue for the blues, and renowned local blues musician Sean Carney is the perfect man to host a charity concert there.

After some of Carney's friends and family were diagnosed with cancer, he created the Blues for a Cure fundraiser in 2007 to help fund cancer research and programs for survivors. Since then, an annual festival-style concert and a series of CD and DVD releases have raised thousands of dollars.

This weekend's fourth-annual Blues for a Cure concert will feature The Sean Carney Band and blues legend Duke Robillard (pictured).
