Local music: The Lindsay/Greenlawn Abbey 7-inch release
At long last The Lindsay is preparing to release a proper follow-up to 2006 masterpiece "Dragged Out." Before that new LP sees light, they're releasing a split 7-inch featuring the final recordings of power-pop locals Greenlawn Abbey.
Greenlawn is over, though most of the members teamed with The Sun's Chris Burney to form a new band called Dead Indians. That group will appear alongside The Lindsay on Saturday at The Summit, as well as The Compressions and ex-Greenlawn guitarist Eric French.
The Lindsay's side features "Change My Oil" and "Look at the Time" from last year's "Syrup Bag" EP, while Greenlawn finishes strong with guitar epics "Ohio Heidi" and "Child In the Well."
