Human Eye at the Summit
Like any good Detroit rocker, Timmy Vulgar loves him some Stooges. And like many of his Motor City brethren, Vulgar's music lives in the proto-punk giants' dark and dingy shadow.
Vulgar's former project Clone Defects socked it to listeners with the fist-to-face swagger of The Stooges circa "Raw Power." Human Eye is where Vulgar imbibes and expels the back alley disorientation of Iggy and company's "Fun House" days. It's strung-out and harshly abrasive but also a little groovy, as if some warped echoes of Motown seeped into Vulgar's gnarly history lesson.
In other words, he's just what The Summit ordered.
