Junip at the Wexner Center

You won't find a more soothing songwriter than Jose Gonzalez. The Swedish folk singer's thoughtful whisper turned a cover of The Knife's extremely extroverted single "Heartbeats" inward with gorgeous results.

Gonzalez's band Junip simply builds texture and scope around his bared soul. Moody jazz and prog keyboard sounds and featherweight grooves dominate "Fields," the album they're supporting with the tour that visits the Wex on Sunday.

Throwback pop duo Acrylics opens the show at 8 p.m. sharp.
