The Avett Brothers at the LC

Of the many banjo bands of brothers fixin' to make folk music cool again, The Avett Brothers are on the front lines.

The band sells a savory sort of string music, leaving listeners feeling full with songs about love, responsibility and the other growing pains faced while settling into adulthood.

Those lucky enough to have tickets to the sold-out show Saturday will get a taste of The Avett Brothers' sweet live brew of punky bluegrassy energy (pray they play jump-inducing "Talk on Indolence") and poppy melodies (like their song you'll most likely be singing afterward, "Kick Drum Heart").
