Preview: Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band at Nationwide Arena
Here he goes on the road again. Bob Seger is bringing his black T-shirt and white sneakers back to Columbus for a run through his deep catalog of workingman's hits at Nationwide Arena.
Chuck Klosterman once cited Billy Joel as one of the few performers who managed to be great without being cool. Seger, a blue-collar rocker who pens unforgettable melodies while looking and sounding like one of your dad's drinking buddies, is the Midwest's answer to Joel. He likes that old-time rock 'n' roll, but much of his rootsy body of work is merely like a rock.
Frankie Ballard opens Friday's show.
