Preview: Too Short at Skully's

Chris DeVille, Columbus Alive

Columbus loves Too $hort. Besides the fact that Freaky Franz named his breakout mixtape after the legendary sleazeball's song "Freaky Tales," the last time Too $hort played Skully's was such a spectacle that the bar is bringing him back for its 10-year anniversary weekend. He isn't even on tour; Skully's is flying him out from the Bay Area especially for this gig.

Friday's show, which also features locals C10 and Cali Kid Dubz plus Dayton's Flam Feeva, ought to be a debauched celebration of skeezy sex, a foundation upon which Too $hort has spun many a fine soliloquy. Three decades into his career, he's still horny.
