Cassius Slay and Self Help drop major new releases today

The first EP from Cassius Slay, the Moombahton project by Columbus DJs Cornelius Jackson and Keith Swet, hits the internet and the real world today courtesy of Young Robots Records. Take a spin through "Tree House EP" at the label site, Soundcloud or right here.

Also out today: "This Is an Emergency," an EP built around Self Help's propulsive single of the same name, featuring remixes by Ruckus Roboticus, Skinny Friedman and the Cassius Slay-affiliated Hot Mess. (See how that all ties together? Voila.) The album comes out on Roboticus' Dance or Die Records, which makes sense since Roboticus founded the Dance or Die party and later bequeathed it to DJ Barticus and Self Help. Also on tap for Self Help: an appearance alongside Cassius Slay's Cornelius Jackson at Carabar for Sweatin' on Thanksgiving eve, Wednesday, Nov. 23. (...And it all ties together again.)
