When you see the band name D.R.U.G.S., you want to know what kind of music they make, right? Turns out D.R.U.G.S. stands for Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows; the band practices an emo-and-electronics-fried version of nu metal that lands them somewhere on a spectrum between My Chemical Romance and Linkin Park. (And here I figured they did dubstep.)

Heading up this synthetic circus is Craig Owens, the singer who got kicked out of Michigan post-hardcore celebs Chiodos in 2009. Owens’ new combo has been touring relentlessly since late 2010; now the S.I.N. (Strength In Numbers) tour comes to Columbus with Hit the Lights, Like Moths to Flames and Sparks the Rescue.

And no, despite what all these wacky acronyms suggest, they’re not a Christian band.
