Preview: Jennifer O'Connor at The Summit

Chris DeVille, Columbus Alive

There's a pleasant, relatable quality to Jennifer O'Connor's rom-com pop, but she's not flashy, which may be why she got lost in the shuffle at Matador Records, the indie rock titan that released her third and fourth albums. Thus, O'Connor returned to her own Kiam imprint for album No. 5, last year's "I Want What You Want." It is a set of songs-as-sweaters - warm, comfortable, unassuming. She might not grab you and shake you, but she certainly will sneak up on you.

Tim Foljahn and Saintseneca open Wednesday's show at The Summit.
