Jar'd Loose at Carabar

The band name is atrocious, but maybe that’s the point. Chicago noise-punk band Jar’d Loose traffics in the spewed bile and skewed sonics of such pigf--- heavyweights as The Jesus Lizard and Steve Albini (pick your poison).

Last year’s Goes To Purgatory LP is the sound of disgust come to life in the form of furious aggression. Eddie Gobbo, whose awesome and hilarious moniker may compensate for the band name, yowls and screeches with the best of them, and his bandmates are no slouches when it comes to cacophony. They’ll play Carabar this Wednesday in all their grotesque glory.
